Quarterbacks

Ryan Tannehill ($5,100) vs TB – After a stellar performance last week in his first start as a Titan, Tannehill draws the Bucs at home, who are ranked 6th in points allowed to opposing QBs, averaging 21.4 FPPG. The Bucs have excelled at making mediocre quarterbacks look fantastic this year, just look at the box scores for Mitchell Trubisky, Kyle Allen, and Daniel Jones. Tanny is firmly in play for cash this week.

Deshaun Watson ($7,100) vs OAK – This is a great week to pay up at QB in cash for Watson, who offers a safe floor and sky-high upside. Pairing him with Stills and/or Hopkins is a must and is easy to do with the potential value plays at RB this week. After watching the Raiders get shredded by vintage Aaron Rodgers for 6 TDs, who was throwing to create-a-players, I’m confident Watson and Co. can get it done at home in Week 8. Oakland is 3rd in points allowed to the Quarterback position, averaging 23.5 FPPG.

Josh Allen ($6,500) vs PHI – If you aren’t comfortable with Tannehill and can’t afford Watson, Josh Allen offers a little salary relief. He faces the Philly pass funnel at home and you can easily pair him with John Brown, who continues to be undervalued. He may not find a ton of running room against this Eagles defensive line, but he should still provide a decent floor for cash through the air.

Running Backs

Saquon Barkely ($8,900) @ DET – I know CMC hasn’t been on the main slate the past few weeks, but he’s $9,200 on the road against the 49ers who are playing lights out defense, ranking 31st in points allowed to opposing RBs, averaging 9.2 FPPG. So, I’m taking the savings with Barkely this week in a great match-up. He’s had another week to heal up and face the Lions, who surrender 25.9 FPPG, 3rd most in the league.

Leonard Fournette ($7,800) vs NYJ – Fournette is finally priced up a bit, and deservedly so. He’s earned the bell-cow status and is seeing monster workloads week in and week out. He has only found the end zone once this year, but is second in the league in rushing with 715 yards. Expect some positive TD regression for Lenny in the near future.

Ty Johnson ($4,900) vs NYG – This is the free square of the week in cash games, but you can make a case for fading him in tournaments. Johnson is an above average athlete with exceptional speed and should see a decent amount of touches against the G-Men, who are giving up 22.6 FPPG to RBs, 5th most in the NFL.

Wide Receivers

Kenny Stills ($4,700) vs OAK – Just eat the chalk at WR this week with Stills. Imagine a $4,700 Will Fuller against this Oakland secondary, who ironically just traded their former first round DB to the Texans?

Corey Davis ($4,400) vs TB – Corey Davis truthers rise! We saw the Titans passing game resurrected last week with Tannehill under center. Now the former 5th overall pick draws the Bucs secondary at home, who allow 29.1 FPPG to WRs, 3rd most in the league. I also don’t mind saving a few hundred to play AJ Brown.

Tyler Lockett ($7,000) @ ATL – Let’s face it, Atlanta can’t stop anyone anywhere. Lockett faces the Falcons secondary, who are allowing 28 FPPG to WRs, 5th most in the league. Russ could easily toss a couple bombs early and then Schotty ride this one out with Chris Carson. Russ may not need to attempt more than 25 passes to seal this one, which makes him more of a tournament play, but we know how damn efficient he is.

Tight Ends

Jonnu Smith ($2,800) vs TB – With Delanie sidelined with an ankle injury, Jonnu becomes a nice value option for us to pair with Tannehill to get a piece of all the sweet fantasy points to be scored against the Bucs, who are 2nd in points allowed to opposing Tight Ends, averaging 11.3 FPPG.

Cameron Brate ($2,700) @ TN – OJ Howard is sidelined this week, not that you’d have noticed after the way this year has gone for him. Brate has always been a nice target for Jameis in the red zone, I believe this game has sneaky shoot out potential. While the Titans defense is stout, they do give up 8.9 FPPG to the Tight End position, which ranks 7th in points allowed.

Hunter Henry ($4,900) @ CHI – Not the best matchup, but he remains underpriced relative to his usage coming off the injury. He’s caught 14 of 17 targets for 197 yards and 2 touchdowns in his last two games.

Defenses

Patriots ($4,300) vs CLE – You can afford it this week with all the value on the board. I cannot think of one single reason to not play the number one scoring D/ST in football averaging 21.3 DK points per game in Foxborough against a Browns team that’s frankly looked awful.
